Academician Matija Bećković opens the 2026 cultural summer in the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić.

The cultural summer in the House of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andrić in 2026 will be opened with the program “An Ordinary Extraordinary Evening with Matija Bećković” on Tuesday, June 16 at 8:30 p.m.

The audience will have the opportunity to learn about the life path, literary creation and thought of one of the most important contemporary poets of our region through conversation and storytelling. A special review will be devoted to the books “Mother Zork” and “My friend Gido”, which attracted a lot of attention from readers and the literary public.

The evening will be hosted by journalist and publicist Perica Đaković, who will talk with the guest about literature, time, memories and people who marked his creativity.

“Usual unusual evening” will be an opportunity for the audience to meet words, poetry and the spirit of tradition in a space that carries special cultural and historical symbolism.
