“Chained Prometheus”, a musical and choreographic performance, will be performed on the stage of the Park Hall on Wednesday, June 10, at 7 p.m.

“Chained Prometheus” is a contemporary interdisciplinary project inspired by Aeschylus’ tragedy, which combines live music, physical theater, improvisation and multimedia art into a unique stage form.

The performance explores the theme of freedom, sacrifice, inner resistance and human dignity through the contemporary language of music, movement and visual art. Ivan Velikanov’s musical score for the instrumental ensemble functions as a living organism in which composition intertwines with improvisation. Marie Terras’ choreography explores the body as a space of memory and emotional experience, while Andrej Silvestrov’s direction connects music, movement and video into a multi-layered visual-stage experience.

The special value of the project lies in its origin in Montenegro, in cooperation with Montenegrin musicians and the local art scene. Inspired by the landscape, cultural heritage and the atmosphere of freedom carried by the Montenegrin space, the project was conceived as a contribution to the development of contemporary art.

Musical ensemble of the performance: “Camerata Herceg Novi” is a chamber orchestra founded in August 2025. The orchestra’s repertoire includes a wide range of works from early music, through baroque, classicism and romanticism to music of the 20th and 21st centuries. This repertoire provides the opportunity to perform with different ensembles, from duets, to larger chamber ensembles, to a complete symphony orchestra, and to present to a diverse audience.

Camerata soloists take part in the performance: Kristijan Boroš (clarinet), Georgi Kalajdžiev (bassoon), Doris Račić (horn), Dmitri Vlasik (percussion), Marija Korac (violin), Ana Jontes (flute), Aleksandra Trifunović (double bass), Aleksandar Stark (harpsichord), Ivan Velikanov (cornet and conductor).
