The traditional event “Zelenika Summer Games 2026”, which promotes sports, fun, socializing and preserving the cultural heritage of Zelenika, will be held on August 3 and 4, organized by the Local Community “Zelenika-Kuti”, with the patronage of the Herceg Novi Tourism Organization and the Municipality of Herceg Novi.

The event will be officially opened on Monday, August 3, at 9 p.m. on the coast near Luka Zelenika. In the opening program, the KUD “Ilija Kišić” will perform, after which the concert will be held by Mirza Selimović.

On the second day, on Tuesday, August 4, the program begins at 7:30 p.m. at the PVK “Galeb” swimming pool, where the drawing of pairs will be held and the start of the competition in a total of seven sports and entertainment disciplines. For all visitors, the organizers have prepared a traditional service – fish and wine, while the evening will be completed with a musical program with a DJ performance.

The competitive part of the event will include seven sports and entertainment disciplines that will test the strength, dexterity, speed and team spirit of the participants. The teams will compete in carrying crates, running in sacks, flying water polo, the “Cart” race, removing ham from an oiled beam, wrestling on pontoons “on croaks” and traditional tug-of-war, which carries the status of a premium discipline and has the greatest importance in the overall scoring.

A maximum of eight teams can participate, and each team can consist of eight to ten competitors, with the mandatory participation of at least two women. The competition is intended for participants over the age of 16.

Team registrations are open until July 31, in the premises of the Zelenika-Kuti Local Community, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and due to the limited number of places, the organizers invite those interested to apply on time.
