The plot follows Nemorino, a poor peasant deeply in love with the beautiful and wealthy Adina. While the confident Sergeant Belcore openly courts her, Adina torments Nemorino with her indifference. Inspired by the legend of Tristan and Isolde, Nemorino seeks a miraculous potion to help him win her heart. The arrival of the charismatic Doctor Dulcamara provides the perfect opportunity; Nemorino buys a “love elixir,” setting off amusing events that reveal just how far a person in love is willing to go.

This lively production, filled with striking and memorable arias, will be performed by the ensemble of the first Operosa Summer Opera Academy, accompanied by the Operosa Chamber Orchestra. The Operosa Summer Opera Academy, organized in collaboration with the Music Academy in Cetinje, has brought together talented young singers and musicians from Montenegro and across Europe. Under the guidance of renowned mentors—vocal coaches Snežana Nena Brzaković and Edita Garčević Koželj, stage director Martin Lloyd-Evans, and conductor James Hanshaw—these artists join forces to create a  „Elixir of Love“ – L’elisir d’amore, a unique festival experience.
