The traditional Vidovdan Academy, organized by the Topaljska–Herceg Novi Church Parish and the NGO “Spona,” will be held on Saturday, June 27, starting at 20:00h in Dvorana Park in Herceg Novi.

The solemn Vidovdan address will be delivered by priest Pavle Božović. The program will feature actress Tanja Bošković, the Serbian Orthodox Church Choir “Sveti Sava” from Herceg Novi, soloists Teodora Bajić and Milica Radović, accordionist Petar Balaban, and students of the Recitation and Singing School “Prepodobna Kasija Konstantinopoljska.”

After the academy, an exhibition of calligraphic works by students of the Cyrillic Calligraphy School “Archimandrite Josif Tropović” will open in the foyer of the Dvorana Park.

Visitors will be able to view works created during months of study, which testify to the dedication to preserving the Serbian Cyrillic script as an important part of cultural and spiritual heritage.

The event’s patrons are the Herceg Novi Tourism Board, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, and JUK “Herceg Fest.”
