Intimate theatrical confession with live music  „MRKI – NISAM TI ISPRIČAO“, author’s project of actor Marko Janketić, arose from the need to continue an unfinished conversation.

At the center of this intimate, extremely personal stage act is not a character, but a human being. Marko Janketić speaks for the first time in front of the audience with his own name and surname, returning to his relationship with his own

father, the legendary actor Miša Janketić. Not as a tribute and not as a biographical overview, but as a personal testimony of a son who is trying to say what he didn’t get to or couldn’t say in time.

A confession that opens up the topics of growing up with a strong father’s authority, the acting vocation and the burden of the surname, own parentage, life’s breakdowns, vices, dilemmas and attempts to change things for the better. A story about unspoken sentences and about love that, despite everything, is present. Directed by Anđelka Stević Žugić in collaboration with Nikola Zavišić. “MRKI – I didn’t tell you” is not a form that is observed from a distance. It is an evening of a personal story in which the line between stage and life is erased, a conversation that is overdue but finally spoken. A story in which many will recognize a part of their own relationships, silence and sentences that remained in the throat, silenced.
