The presentation of the books by art historian Milorad Savić, Works and Art Styles of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Dalmatia and Journey through the Serbian Culture of Dalmatia, will be held in the foyer of the Park Hall on Monday, May 18, at 7 p.m.

The books “Works and styles of art of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Dalmatia” and “Traveling through the Serbian culture of Dalmatia” show the numerous and diverse wealth of the art of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Dalmatia.

According to the author, the aim of the publications is “to show the culture of all layers of the people; prominent churches and monasteries, fortresses, bridges, water mills and stupas, parish houses, old cemeteries, monuments and famous places, collections of movable cultural monuments, prominent personalities, creators, endowments”.

Milorad Savić is an art historian by education, and he was the curator of the Museum in Benkovac, of which he is also the founder. He received his master’s degree on the topic “Serbian painting in the churches of Northern Dalmatia”.

In addition to the authors, Dragan Krošnjar, president of the Regional Cultural Center “Sveti Sava” from Banja Luka, Olivera Doklestić, president of the SKPD “Prosvjet” from Herceg Novi and Nebojša Rašo will speak about the books.
