At a private celebration in an elegant restaurant, six people gather, by invitation mutual friends, a married couple of lawyers. None of the guests knows the reason for the gathering, nor who the other guests are. During this mysterious evening, it will turn out that they are actually ex-spouses and that the lawyer couple, who divorced them all, brought them together to try to repair their damaged relationship.

A Private Celebration is a romantic comedy about middle-aged people who are financially secure, seemingly have everything, but still aren’t happy. They have the same emotional and essential life problems as “ordinary guests”. They are tormented by jealousy, they are hurt by deception and vanity, they are afraid to honestly communicate their emotions in order not to be hurt, left behind, pitied or excluded from society. This is a story about divorce, but above all about the absurd chaos that we are able to make of our relationships.
