Duodrama “Memories of Sarah Bernhardt” by John Marel, adapted and directed by Staša Koprivica and performed by the Hercegnov Theater and Herceg Fest (Montenegro), combines elements of comedy, essays on theater, and theater within a theater. The play deals with the (un)reliable memories of the famous French actress Sarah Bernhardt (Tanja Bošković), which were recorded by her secretary George Pitu (Dejan Đonović) in her waning years. However, Georges Pitt is also an acting partner for Sarah Bernard who (un)willingly plays mostly female characters with her: Sarah’s sister, mother and, luckily for him, the occasional man.
Tanja Bošković as Sara Bernard plays one of the best roles of her career portraying a capricious, selfish, manipulative and even seductive old woman from situation to situation.
On the other hand, the secretary George Pitou (Dejan Đonović) is outstanding not only as a support from the second plan, but also as a partner who occasionally (when he gets carried away) competes with Sara Bernard (Tanja Bošković).
You can buy tickets at the price of 10 euros at the box office of the Park Hall, as well as online at: hercegfestulaznice.me
