The poetic-musical lyrical performance “One Love Story: Milica and Ivo”, which will open the season in the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, as a natural stage for this form and theme, on Tuesday, June 2, at 9 p.m., premiered in March 2024 in the PARK Hall, as a JUK “Herceg Fest” production.

The story is dedicated to the love of Milica Babić and Ivo Andrić, their happiest years that they lived in Herceg Novi, and is based on Andrić’s works “Jelena, žena koje nema”, “Signs on the Road”, on records about Herceg Novi and letters to Milica, the woman whom Andrić had been waiting for for almost thirty years.

The author of the text is Vitka Vujnović, she is also the director of the duo-drama starring Lidija Petrone (Hercegnovsko pozorište) and Dejan Đonović (City Theater Podgorica / HP).

Musical accompaniment for the acting duo is provided by Bosiljka Kulišić (accordion) and Nikolas Moreta (guitar), with well-known compositions that logically follow “One Love Story”, but also the author’s theme “Memory”…
