On the first weekend, a big party on the Riviera and performances by regional stars

Nina Badrić, Goran Karan, Kaliopi, Danijel Alibabić, Zana, Riblja chorba, YU group, Breskvica, Dejan Petrović Big Band – these are the regional music stars who will perform during the first weekend of the 57th Mimosa Festival in Herceg Novi.

The opening of the biggest Novi festival is scheduled for February 13, when the city music and majorettes of Herceg Novi, local music Đenović, trombonists and masquerades will lead the parade through the city, and then two giants of the regional pop scene, Nina Badrić and Goran Karan, will perform on the plateau in Igalo.

Traditionally the most visited event, the Mimosa Harvest – a festival of mimosa, fish and wine on the Riviera, is scheduled for February 14. After the parade of City Music, Majorettes and Local Music, Kaliopi will perform in Đenović, and Danijel Alibabić will perform in Baošići.

On the same evening, on February 14, on the plateau in Igal, legends of the rock scene Riblja chorba and the band with the longest musical experience in this area, the Yu group, will give a concert, while the popular group Zana, together with the ensemble Toć and the new band Exodusi, will perform at the big masquerade ball.

The festival continues on February 15, when Anđela Ignjatović Breskvica and Dejan Petrović and the Big Band will be in front of the audience.

On the first weekend, the traditional Flower Exhibition will be held in the first phase of the Igalo Institute, the popular race on the Novi scales – Skalinada, and the novelty is that this year the festival will also reach the hinterland, where the Mimosa on Orjen program is planned.

57. The mimosa festival will last for three weeks, until February 28, under the slogan “While everything sleeps, the mimosa wakes up.”

The second weekend of one of the biggest tourist and entertainment events in the region and beyond brings the IX International Carnival and the performance of carnival groups, as well as the timeless hits of one of the world’s biggest pop stars, which will be performed by The World of Madonna.

During the second week of the festival, attractive programs await us – Picigin on Rafaelo beach, competition in making pashto shote Meštri od kužine – piat od gušte, competition in card games briskul and treset.

The second week’s program includes a fish dinner, a wine salon and a small orange festival, a children’s masquerade ball in Igalo, the International Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign, as well as more cultural events – the play “Seven Hours of Sunlight” by Theater on the Hill, a concert by Ibrica Jusić, an evening with Maja Volk, a concert by Amanda Stojović and Collegium musicum Ragusinum from Dubrovnik.

The final weekend of the 57th Mimosa Festival will mark the traditional Trial of the Carnival, the culprit for all the troubles of the people of Novalja in the past year, and the festival will close with a concert by Aco Pejović on the plateau in Igalo.

The third week of the festival brings the School Feast program, during which high school students will try to make the longest gnocchi in Boka, as well as the children’s Flower Parade. The meeting of the city musicians of Boka will be held on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the founding of the City Music of Herceg Novi, as well as the famous karić race, Karotrc.

The program includes Days of Herzegovina and Days of Belgrade, Southern Rock Evening, promotion of Maso Čekić’s book “Iz Bokeška Pjatance”, children’s play “Dulcinea and Cervantes” of the Podgorica City Theater, Folklore Night, meeting of children’s folklore ensembles, fashion show of Ana Kovačević, a walk through the hinterland, as well as the Great Bokeška Festival and children’s masquerade ball in Bijela.
