EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL – DOCUMENTARY FILM “MY DAD’S LESSONS”

July 3- 9:00 pm

From June 19 to the end of August, our country becomes a big festival stage of contemporary European cinema. Films travel from Podgorica, across the coast, to the north – all 25 Montenegrin municipalities will host this unique journey. The audience will enjoy award-winning feature films, documentaries and animations from all over Europe.

The European Film Festival is organized by the Delegation of the European Union through the European House, with the support of the Cineuropa platform, and in partnership with the Film Center of Montenegro and the Network of Cinema Screeners of Montenegro.

My Dad’s Lessons

This documentary film was created after the death of the author’s father, who recorded his life and everyday life with a camera for decades. After finding his numerous tapes that he never labeled, edited or watched, the author embarks on a cinematic and personal journey of rediscovering who he was. Looking at recordings of moments she did not witness and recalling her growing up and her family’s coexistence with the camera that was Dad’s tool, a selected type of diary recording and an extended hand, the author gets to know him in different life roles, times and parts of the world.
