“Academic book” from Novi Sad will present its publishing ventures through the cultural summer program at the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić on July 6 and 7.

On the second day, on Tuesday, July 7, at 8:30 p.m., the autobiography of the painter Vlaho Bukovac “My Life” will be presented, with the participation of Bora Babić, director of the IC and organizer Vladimir Petrović. The book brings an exciting life story of one of the most important painters from the Balkans – from a difficult childhood and travels through America and Europe, to international artistic affirmation and portraits of European rulers and cultural greats.

In the new edition, the autobiography has been returned to its authentic form, with additional parts and rich archival material, offering readers a comprehensive insight into the life and work of an artist whose fate was as dramatic as his art.
