43. Herceg Novi swimming marathon – Memorial “Mario Dido Marić”, in memory of physical education teacher Mario Dido Marić, as a traditional sports-tourism event, will be organized on Saturday, July 25, on the route Njivice-Herceg Novi.

The start is at 6:00 p.m. from the Iberostar Hotel, and the finish line is at Boka beach, in Škver.

The length of the section that needs to be swum is 2500 m, and the time for swimming is limited to an hour and a half.

Prizes for the first three places in the men’s and women’s competition were determined for the fastest. For the third place, the prize is 100 euros, the second 200 euros and the first 300 euros, as well as medals. The oldest and youngest participants of the marathon were provided with goods and cash prizes.

Everyone interested has the right to compete, who pass the health check, and take the fitness at their own risk.

Competitors are allowed to swim freestyle, receive refreshments, provided they do not touch the companion’s boat. If they do not follow the rules, they will be disqualified.

According to the program, at 3:30 p.m. the swimmers will be transported to Njivica, at 4:00 p.m. there will be a medical examination, and at 6:00 p.m. the start.

At 8 p.m., a tug-of-war competition will be organized, and the prize is prosciutto.

The organizer of the event is NGO Marić, and the general sponsor is the Municipality of Herceg Novi.
