13TH JAZZ BAY FESTIVAL STARTS: “TRAVELS QUARTET” AND MAJA GRGIĆ ARE ARRIVING

The 13th International Jazz Bay Festival will be held in Herceg Novi on August 20 and 21, and the audience can expect a concert by the Italian group “Travels Quartet” from Milan and the project “Around Metheny” dedicated to the music of Pat Metheny.
The quartet gathers top Italian jazz authors and professors with rich international careers: Gianni Azzali – saxophone and flute, Michele Decorato – piano, Attilio Zanchi – double bass and Sebastiano Ruggeri – drums.
The concert starts at 10 p.m. at Belavista (plateau near the Library).
On the second day of the festival, August 21, Croatian vocalist and author Maja Grgić will perform with the NIM project, accompanied by Hrvoje Galler on piano, Zvonimir Šestak on double bass and Borko Rupen on drums. Her expression combines jazz, soul, pop and rock, bringing to the audience author’s music with a strong emotional and vocal identity.
The concert will be held on Belavista (plateau near the Library) starting at 10 p.m.
The director of the festival, Nada Karadžić, points out that this year they tried to choose a program that will satisfy both jazz lovers and the audience who want to get to know this music and its contemporary trends.
Entrance to the concerts is free. In case of rain, the concerts will be held in the Park Hall.
The patrons of the festival are the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Ministry of Culture and Media, the producer JUK Herceg fest, and support was provided by numerous partners of the event.
