The Secretariat for Ecology and Energy Efficiency informs the citizens that the Municipality of Herceg Novi will also support the “Earth Hour” campaign organized by the NGO Green Home this year.
On Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., public and decorative lighting will be turned off in Njegoševa street – from the Novljanka building to the city center.
From the first action 20 years ago – Earth Hour has grown from a symbolic turning off of the lights in Sydney into the world’s largest initiative and incentive for people to dedicate an hour to the planet. The action focuses on the consequences of excessive consumption of natural resources, the carbon footprint and the urgent need to preserve forests and the sea.
The Herzegovinian Secretariat invites citizens, businessmen and restaurateurs to join the action by symbolically turning off the lights in homes, i.e. business facilities and become part of the global movement in the fight against climate change.
