Meet our 2026 Rising Star – Nevena Goranova Rajković, a soprano and soloist of remarkable interpretative depth and compelling stage presence.
Her repertoire spans both lyric and dramatic roles—from Mozart’s Donna Elvira, Countess Almaviva, Dorabella, and Marcellina, to Puccini’s Mimì, Tosca, Turandot, and Suor Angelica, as well as Mascagni’s Santuzza. She is particularly acclaimed for her performances of Martín Palmeri’s “Misa Tango”. Nevena has refined her artistry in masterclasses with Barbara Frittoli, Sumi Jo, and Leo Nucci, and is the recipient of the Grand Prix at the International Stojan Gancev Competition in Croatia, as well as a quarter-finalist of the Elizabeth Connell Prize 2024.
At this year’s Operosa Festival, you can hear Nevena in the A Star Is Born concert at Luštica Bay on 21 July, and see her as Marta in the opera Balkanska Carica on 18 July at Luštica Bay, 14 August at Forte Mare, and 15 August at Mamula Island by Banyan Tree.
