Herceg Novi opens its doors to the 57th Mimosa Festival, which from February 13 to 28, under the slogan “While everything sleeps, mimosa wakes up”, will bring dozens of folk festivities, cultural, gastronomic and sports programs. For more than half a century, winter in Herceg Novi means the center of entertainment with one of the largest tourist and entertainment events in the region and beyond.
The first weekend of the 57th Mimosa Festival, from February 13 to 15, will be marked by traditional programs, the most visited festivities – the Mimosa, Fish and Wine Festival along the Herceg Novi Riviera, masquerade balls, flower exhibitions, attractive sports programs. Along with the symbols of the holiday – Herceg Novi city music and majorettes, Đenović local music, trombone players and masquerades, two giants of the regional pop scene, Nina Badrić and Goran Karan, will perform at the opening on February 13.
On Saturday (February 14), legends of the rock scene “Riblja čorba” will host an open-air concert, while the band with the longest musical experience in this area “Yu group” will perform at the big masquerade ball, together with the ensemble “Toć” and the traditional group “Exodus”.
Kaliopi will perform at the Festa in Đenovići, and Danijel Alibabić in Baošići. The fun continues on February 15 with concerts by pop-folk star Anđela Ignjatović Breskvica and the Big Band Dejan Petrović.
The great fun will continue on February 21 with the IX International Carnival and the performance of carnival groups, as well as timeless hits prepared by the group “The World of Madonna”.
The third, final weekend (February 28) will be marked by a public celebration – Trial of the Carnival and will continue with the hits of pop-folk star Aco Pejović at an open-air concert. There will also be a traditional children’s masquerade ball, theater, literary and folklore programs, a wine salon and friends’ days away, picigin, stairs, karića race, briškula and trešeta tournament.
