The jury for the awarding of the October Award of the Municipality of Herceg Novi decided that the group “Exodus” (proposed by the Public Institution of Culture Herceg fest), the historian and writer Dr. Vladimir Roganović (on the proposal of the Herceg Novi City Library and Reading Room) and the Club of Voluntary Blood Donors Herceg Novi, proposed by a group of citizens, with Dara Vukadinović and the NGO “Ksena”, will receive the highest municipal award this year.
The charter of the city and the title of honorary citizen of Herceg Novi were awarded to academician Darko Tanasković, at the suggestion of a group of citizens.
The jury, consisting of: president Boro Lučić, members Milidrag Majdov, Predrag Kuzmanovski, Jovica Miljanović, Darija Banićević, Marija Čvoro, Slađana Vujović, Gojko Đurđević and Zoran Lučić, considered a total of nine proposals for the October Award and two for the City Charter.
As the president of the jury, Boro Lučić, pointed out, the decisions were made unanimously:
“The jury agreed on the selection of the candidates, everything went smoothly. All those nominated contributed to the promotion and development of the city, all the nominated candidates were really good”, pointed out Lučić.
Awards to this year’s laureates will be presented at the ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly, which will be held on October 28, on the occasion of the Municipality Day and the Liberation Day of Herceg Novi.
