The promotion of the 57th Mimosa Festival will continue on Saturday and Sunday, January 24 and 25, in the City of East Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Performances of the City Music and majorettes of Herceg Novi, trombonists and masquerades, as well as concerts of the band “Trio Mare” will reveal part of what awaits the visitors of the most cheerful festival in Herceg Novi from February 13 to 28.
A ceremonial parade on Pale is planned for Saturday at 11 a.m., while an hour later, at 12 p.m., the festive procession will pass through the streets of East Novi Sarajevo. This will be followed by a concert by the Herzegovinian band “Trio Mare”. The next day, on Sunday, the Caravan will visit Banja Luka and will march through the streets of this city at 12 o’clock. A concert by the band “Trio Mare” will follow on the central square.
Mediterranean music, a festive procession and the mimosa flower will be the best invitation for visitors to come to Herceg Novi for the 57th Mimosa Festival, which, under the slogan “While everything sleeps, the mimosa wakes up”, will bring about 60 folk, cultural, entertainment, children’s, gastronomic and sports programs in just two weeks.
Along with concerts by regional stars, the Mimosa, Fish and Wine Festival along the Herzegovina Riviera (February 14) stands out for its attractiveness, with free food tasting, and on this occasion the housewives prepare more than a ton of fried fish, wine is poured, singing and dancing are held. There are also masquerade balls, a flower exhibition, the 9th International Carnival with hundreds of participants, a wine salon, a competition in the preparation of Bokeh dishes, attractive sports competitions such as Skalinada, picigin, Karića Race, as well as numerous cultural and gastronomic programs.
