The audience of the Film Festival in Herceg Novi will have an exclusive opportunity, from August 23 to 29, to “take a peek” at what awaits us in the new seasons of the most popular regional TV series and talk to members of the creative teams, directors and actors.
As part of the out-of-competition program of TV Niš at the 38th Film Festival Herceg Novi – Montenegro Film Festival, the projects “Swing me gently”, “Kidnapping”, “Shadows over the Balkans”, “12 words”, “Shame”, “The Will of Sons” and “Your name will be Varvara” will be presented.
The president of the FFHN-MFF Council, Aleksandra Božović, said that Telekom’s projects will also be presented for the first time, and that the audience will have the opportunity to watch one episode of the series “Kidnapping”, whose script is written by one of the most prominent Montenegrin playwrights and screenwriters, Stefan Bošković, and is scheduled to be broadcast on RTCG from September.
“In addition to “Kidnapping”, one episode each of the series “12 words” and “Your name will be Varvara”, also produced by Telekom, will be shown. The series “Swing me gently”, which will be filmed in Herceg-Novi from the beginning of September, will be exclusively announced at the festival,” said Božović.
She said that with the screening of one episode of each series, the audience will have the opportunity to meet members of the author’s team, directors and actors, whose presence will further enhance the presentation, as well as the entire festival program.
“A special attraction will be an exclusive screening of one episode of the new season of the extremely successful series “Shadows over the Balkans”. The guest of the festival will be the prominent director, actor and producer Dragan Bjelogrlić,” said Božović.
She expressed her pleasure that for the first time in Montenegro, during the duration of the festival, she will host the authors of the series “Shame”, which attracts a huge number of viewers and followers on social networks.
“Currently, the second season of this series is being broadcast on HRT in Croatia, and along with the screening of one episode, the authors will also present the way in which they came to be so successful,” said Božović, emphasizing that the soundtrack from the series is the most listened to this summer in Croatia, as well as that it is a teenage series that has become a regional phenomenon.
“This year, for the first time, we are introducing a serial program and we hope that our viewers and visitors to the Herceg Novi Film Festival will enjoy what we have prepared for them,” concluded Božović.
The series will be presented in the “Park” hall, and the first ones on the program are on August 24 – “Swing me gently” directed by Miloš Avramović at 4 p.m., and “Kidnapping” directed by Miroslav Lekić at 7 p.m.
A day later, on August 25, the third season of the series “Shadows over the Balkans” directed by Dragan Bjelogrlić will be presented.
On Tuesday, August 26, from 7 p.m., the program will feature the presentation of the third season of the series “12 Words” directed by Jelena Stolica, and on Wednesday, August 27, from 7 p.m., the series “Shame” directed by Jelena Gavrilović.
On the last day of the TV niche program, on August 28, the focus will be on the TV series “Will of the Sons” by Nemanja Ćeranić, whose presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m., and “You’re Called a Barbarian” by director Dejan Zečević, from 7 p.m.
As part of the TV Niša program, and in cooperation with RTCG and the Film Center, a “pitch day” will be organized where Montenegrin authors will explain their emerging projects in a kind of competition, all with the aim of encouraging the production of feature serial programs in Montenegro.
