TWO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BOAT FISHING IN IGALO

October 5

On Sunday, October 5, after the parade through the streets of Igalo, the 60th World Boat Fishing Championship for seniors and the 24th World Boat Fishing Championship for juniors will be officially opened at the “Talia” hotel, in which 21 national teams will participate, with 125 competitors.

The senior national team of Montenegro (coach Ante Arapović) will perform in the composition of: Marko Radosavljević (“Igalo”), Ivan Dejanović and Aleksandar Pejović (“Delfin” Budva), Radovan Popović (“Sipa” Tivat), Dejan Sijerković and Marko Vujisić (“Ribar” Baošići). In relation to the national team that won the bronze medal two years ago, there was one change, Zdravko Damjanović was replaced by Marko Vujisić.

The selector and coach of the junior national team, Slobodan Svilanović and Marko Radosavljević, showed confidence in the competitors who have shown the most at the national championships in the last two years, namely: Filip Junković and Luka Pekić (“Rumija” Bar), Danilo Aleksić and Damair Papračanin (“Ribar” Baošići), Konstatin Žarković (“Pristan” Bar) and Mijodrag Pavićević (“Sabljarka” Meljine). For all of them, this will be their first appearance at a competition of this level.

Official training is scheduled for Monday, October 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by three competition days.

It is interesting that for the first time at the championships in the Mediterranean, scoring, instead of weight, will be done according to the new rules of the International Federation for Sport Fishing at Sea FIPS-M, according to which every caught fish is returned alive to the sea after checking the length and entering it in the catch list, which will be a special challenge for the organizer, the Association for Sport Fishing at Sea of Montenegro and the judges on board, announced the Association for Sport Fishing at Sea of Montenegro.
