The magnificent 31st edition of Herceg Novi’s April theatre festival will be held from April 1 to 30, under the slogan ’31 years without a missed call – HAPS is calling you’.

This year’s theatre festival brings 15 recent regional productions of various genres.

HAPS was launched in 1996 and forms the link between the winter and summer festival, cultural and tourist seasons in Herceg Novi.

After the first few years, when the long-term organizer and holder of HAPS, the Hercegnov Theater mostly exchanged performances with similar theater companies, since 2002 the festival has been gathering professional theater artists and ensembles as a revue event.

In the past years, a strong connection was established in the co-production of this festival between the cultural umbrella institution in Herceg Novi JUK “Herceg Fest” and the NGO Herceg Novi Theater. The patron of HAPS is the Municipality of Herceg Novi, it is continuously supported by local sponsors and friends, and since 2018 it has been co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro.

Selected performances, accompanying content and a specific atmosphere, like falling in love all over again in the spring, made HAPS a favorite of the participants and the Herzegovinian audience.
