The ninth international women’s basketball tournament “Mimosa 2026” will be held this coming weekend (Saturday, March 14), in the Igalo Sports Center, and the host of the tournament is WBC “Primorje”.

This year’s edition will feature teams from the region: WBC “Krka” (Novo Mesto), traditional rivals and friends from Slovenia, BC “Star” (Fojnica), regular guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and WBC “Play Off” (Užice), a team from Serbia that is participating in the tournament for the first time.

The tournament has become a recognizable symbol of women’s basketball in the region, and the winner’s cup was won last year by the basketball players of Primorje (age up to 14 years), defeating KrkA in the final.

“We are proud that our tournament gathers friendly clubs from all over the region every year. This year we are particularly pleased to welcome the Play Off team from Užice, who are with us for the first time. Our primary goal is to promote women’s basketball and strengthen sports ties, and this is a great opportunity for our girls to show their talent in front of the home crowd in the festive atmosphere of Herceg Novi,” said the director of Primorje, Željka Ratković.

– 12:30 p.m., WBC “Primorje” (Herceg Novi) – WBC “Play Off” (Užice)

– 5 p.m., Match for third place

– 7 p.m., Final

– 8:30 p.m., Ceremonial awards ceremony
