PLAY “UĆUTKIVANJE SOKRATA”
On Wednesday, November 12, at 8 p.m., the play “UĆUTKIVANJE SOKRATA” will be performed on the stage of the Park Hall.
Accused of corrupting the youth and blasphemy, Socrates shook the foundations of Athenian democracy with his questions. In a time when asking questions was a mortal sin, philosophy became an act of courage.
Directed by Nebojša Bradić, the play “UĆUTKIVANJE SOKRATA” brings a powerful discussion about ethics, freedom of thought and the power of the system – themes that resonate just as strongly today.
At the theater festival in Čortanovci, the play was declared the best play, while Nebojša Bradić and Sanja Ristic Krajnov were awarded for directing and acting.
Acting:
Bojan Dimitrijević – Socrates
Sanja Ristic Krajnov – Xantipa
Jelena Stupljanin – Aspazija
Jugoslav Krajnov – in two roles
Text: Howard Brenton
Direction and scenography: Nebojša Bradić
Production: Bitef theater Belgrade & CZK Tivat
Experience the story of a philosopher who paid with his life for thinking differently, a story of truth, courage and time that repeats itself.
