OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION “80 YEARS OF STORIES ABOUT THE MOOMINS”

September 29- 8:00 pm

On Monday, September 29, starting at 8 p.m., the opening of the exhibition “80 years of Moomin stories” will be held in the Park Hall.

Ambassador of Finland, H.E. Niklas Lindqvist will open the exhibition, as part of the Embassy’s program dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the creation of the beloved Moomin stories by the famous Finnish artist and writer Tuva Jansson.

For 80 years, the Moomins have won the hearts of readers around the world with engaging stories and universal themes. Moomin stories are not just imaginative stories for children. They convey profound messages about family and friendship, adventure and exploration, acceptance and tolerance, as well as nature and the environment. Tuve Jansson, whose mother tongue was Swedish, created a world that still inspires and connects people of all ages.

The exhibition will be open until October 6, 2025.
