HUMANITARIAN EVENING: THE PLAY “ZEMLJA NEDOĐIJA”
May 30- 7:00 pm

H.O. Serbian Solidarity organizes a humanitarian evening “Heart for Kosovo and Metohija”, during which the play “Zemlja nedođija” will be performed, on Monday, May 30, with a stamp at 7 p.m., and the entrance fee is a voluntary donation.
“As Bishop Nikolaj Velimirović said that a good deed is a miracle that makes two hearts happy, we hope that tonight you will feel joy in your hearts because with your donation you will make children from Kosovo and Metohija happy. The humanitarian organization “Serbian Solidarity” was founded on Vodov Day 11 years ago by Hadži Branko Antić and his wife Verica Dubaić. Although Branko Antić left this earthly world this fall, his work continues to live on through the actions and humanitarian activities of his family, friends and volunteers. Their actions are primarily aimed at children who are affectionately called the youngest guardians of Kosovo and Metohija.
In order to make it easier for them to grow up in increasingly difficult circumstances, every year they provide support and help in the form of providing school supplies, winter clothes and shoes, Christmas packages, gifts to mothers and babies born in Kosovo and Metohija during Easter. One of the important aspects of their humanitarian activities is the scholarship of children and youth from Kosovo and Metohija. So far, 94 annual scholarships have been provided. Taking into account that the little heroes from Kosovo and Metohija do not have the possibility of free movement or the opportunity to play and socialize every day like other children, they have been organizing graduation excursions and summer vacations for them for several years. So far, about 1,400 children have had the opportunity to visit central Serbia, as well as Republika Srpska and Montenegro. In cooperation with the fraternal associations from Bar and Beran, as well as our city of Herceg Novi, they enabled the little heroes to see the sea for the first time and feel the magic of vacation, to be able to freely walk and run on the beach, buy ice cream by themselves. Seemingly small, but big steps for them because they don’t have freedom at home.
They are very grateful to the city of Herceg Novi, Igalo, as well as to Mićo Rogović, with whose support the vacations were organized and who will welcome a new group of children with open arms this September.
In order to collect funds for the implementation of humanitarian actions, actors Aleksandar Ristanović and Marko Nedeljković will introduce themselves tonight, who will take us through the “Never Land” of St. Nikolaj Velimirović, a man whose work was far beyond the time in which he lived, and whose ideas and thoughts – guideposts for the Serbian people in the past, present and future.
After the performance, the Radovanović sisters (Pavlina and Svetlana) will perform in the musical part of the evening, who with their wonderful voices represent the spiritual wealth of Kosovo and Metohija interwoven in songs.”
