The musical “Violinist on the Roof” – Jewish Cultural Center Belgrade, will be staged on the stage of the Park Hall on Saturday, April 18, starting at 8 p.m., and as part of the program on the 31st. HAPS.

Josip Stejn’s musical “The Fiddler on the Roof” is based on the story by Sholem Alehem “Tevje, the milkman”. This classic Yiddish short story was adapted by Stein into the hit Broadway musical “Fiddler on the Roof”. The lyrics of the songs were written by Sheldon Harnik, and the music by Jeri Bock.

This musical was performed for a long time and successfully in the Terazije Theater, and the famous actor and singer Zafir Hadžimanov played the role of Tevje.
also played in an American line-up of “Violinists”.

After that, it was performed at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad in co-production with the Ujvideki Szinhaz Theater in Novi Sad.

The new Belgrade production is from the end of 2023.
