The concert is part of the professional development program for young vocalists, led by vocal mentor Ketrin Hataja and pianist Petra Jović.

8 p.m. – Opening of the exhibition “80 years of Moomin stories”
Ambassador of Finland, H.E. Niklas Lindqvist will open the exhibition, as part of the Embassy’s program dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the creation of the beloved Moomin stories by the famous Finnish artist and writer Tuva Jansson.
The exhibition will be open until October 6, 2025.

6 p.m. Film “Tuve” directed by Zaida Bergrot
The biographical film “Tuva” presents a powerful and intimate portrait of the Finnish author and visual artist Tuva Jansson, the most translated and widely read Finnish artist internationally. Through the biographical narrative, the film talks about the search for identity, love and the conquest of personal and artistic freedom.
The film follows Tuva Jansson’s life from the end of World War II to the mid-1950s. The focus is on her artistic and personal struggles, including romantic relationships, as well as the creation and rise of Moomin, which brought her international fame. The film shows how Tuve balanced the expectations of her family, artistic ambitions and personal freedom, while simultaneously creating a world that would become one of the most beloved in children’s literature.
It won seven Jussi Awards, including Best Film and Best Actress.
