Sportsko srce is a warm comedy about the collision of two incompatible worlds when young Maja decides to bring her fiance, the sophisticated Belgrader Pavle, together with her father Macura, the charismatic owner of a bakery in Zemun. While Maya tries to “polite” her father for the fateful family lunch, and Pavle balances the love and influence of his domineering mother, the generation gap and deep-rooted prejudices come to the surface. Through a series of comical misunderstandings, this story reminds us that honesty and acceptance are the only way to a common future, no matter how different our roots may be.
