DOCUMENTARY FILM “KAJMAKČALAN”
November 8- 7:00 pm
Filmed in Serbia, Australia, Greece and North Macedonia, the film follows the journey of historian Bojan Pajić, an Australian of Serbian origin, who investigates the forgotten story of more than 1,500 Australians and New Zealanders, mostly women, who served with the Serbian army in the First World War.
Pajić and a group of descendants of Australian veterans travel from Australia to the Thessaloniki front, discovering the courage, friendship and extraordinary destinies of people who connected two nations.
In the documentary film, which will be shown on Saturday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m., in the Park Hall, prominent historians speak, and descendants of the soldiers read parts of their letters and diaries.
