CONCERT OF IBRICA JUSIĆ

February 18- 8:00 pm

As part of the program of the 57th Parznik Mimosa, on Wednesday, February 18, at 8 p.m., a concert by Ibrica Jusić will be held in Dvorana Park.

Ibrica Jusić, one of the greatest Yugoslav chansonniers and singer-songwriters, will have a concert in the Park Hall on February 18 at 8 p.m., as part of the 57th Mimosa Festival.

In 1968, Ibrica Jusić appeared in pop music at the festival in Zagreb. Relying on the elements of the French chanson, he created a recognizable and very authentic author’s expression over the years, which is characterized by poetics and intellect, as well as by composing to the verses of famous poets.

For decades, he has been a trademark of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, where he regularly appears as the host of midnight concerts on the steps and with independent guitar recitals in the representative Prince’s Palaces.

He released his first album in 1975, when he gained all-Yugoslav record fame. This especially applies to his early works as poems: “Cat”, “Good morning, Margareta”, “Midnight”, “Jubi dream your daughter”, but also by composing verses by Shakespeare, Brecht, Paljetko, Antić, Britvić and others.

The turning point in his work was the first symphonic album “Ibrica” (1981), made with rich Mediterranean arrangements by his older brother, maestro Đela Jusić, who wrote anthology songs for Ibrica, such as: “Shalom Sarah”, “I love you anyway”, “Na Stradun” and others.

You can buy tickets at the price of 10 euros at the box office of Dvorane Park, as well as online at hercegfestulaznice.me
