CAMERATA HERCEG NOVI
hamber orchestra “Camerata Herceg Novi” will present itself to the audience for the first time on Tuesday, October 28, with a concert in the “Park” hall, as part of the City Day celebration program. Along with the permanent members, there will also be artists from Serbia, Croatia, Russia and Montenegro on stage.
The Herceg Novi Chamber Orchestra was founded in August of this year. The idea of founding came from the Herzegovinian Music School, from prof. Nives Nenadović and her colleagues prof. Jovanka Veljović and Aleksandra Lepetić, who together with conductor Ivan Velikanov joined her in the realization.
In the desire to further enrich the artistic life of Herceg Novi, Boka, Montenegro, and beyond, “Camerata Herceg Novi” was designed as a base that gathers professional musicians in a permanent lineup. Appreciating the importance of such a project, the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Secretariat for Culture and Education provided support.
“Camerata Herceg Novi” consists of twenty permanent performers, and at the first concert they will perform in an expanded composition, with ten guest members from Serbia, Croatia, Russia and Montenegro. The orchestra is conducted by Ivan Velikanov, a Russian-French conductor and composer.
At his first concert, he will perform with the soloist, maestro Boris Kraljević (Montenegro/Singapore), Novljanin, a world-famous pianist, as well as soloists Ivana Petković – flute, Anastasija Batrakova – bassoon and Nives Nenadović – piano.
The program includes works by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
