Clock Tower - Old Town
The clock tower was built in 1667. Ordered by Sultan Mahmud, it represents the entrance to the Old Town and is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Forte Mare Fortress
The "Sea Fortress" is located on the rocks in the southern part of the Old Town of Herceg Novi, near the main port of Herceg Novi, along the coast of the Bay of Kotor.
Kanli Kula Fortress
The "Bloody Tower" is located at the northernmost point of the Old Town. It was built in the 16th century, and in addition to defence, also functioned as a prison.
Španjola Fortress
The Spanish fortress was built by the Spaniards in 1539, although it’s doubtful that the fortress could have been built in less than a year.
Škver - Main Port
At the point where the main city staircase and the Pet Danica promenade meet, stands a monument honouring the founder of the city, the Bosnian king Tvrtko I Kotromanić.
House of Nobel Prize Winner Ivo Andrić
Andrić's house is a unique object of cultural value in Herceg Novi. It was built by the Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić in 1963.
Savina Monastery
The Savina Monastery is located next to Herceg Novi, and was built in lush Mediterranean vegetation on one of the most beautiful parts of the northern Montenegrin coast.
Pet Danica Promenade
Previously a busy railway line, Pet Danica Promenade stretches 6 km along the coast of Montenegro. Here you will find bakeries, cafes, small, vibrant restaurants and local souvenir shops.
Nature Park Orjen
The nature park is located in the southwest of Montenegro, in the natural outskirts of Herceg Novi, on Mount Orjen. To the west, it stretches to the state border with Croatia, and to the northwest and north, the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina (RS).
