The tourist organization of Herceg Novi is proud to announce the fifth, jubilee campaign “Colors and scents of Herceg Novi gardens”.
What was initially an initiative and support for the protection and improvement of the environment, meanwhile grew into a traditional event that gathers true lovers of nature, nurturing flowers and greenery.
This action is much more than just a competition; it is a joint contribution to the preservation of Novi’s greenery and to the encouragement of the creative expression of our fellow citizens.
In order to highlight and motivate all those who care for their gardens with a lot of love and attention, refine balconies, gardens and common green areas, turning them into the most beautiful green oases, we have prepared valuable prizes this year as well. That’s why we invite new and previous participants to apply again and show us how their knowledge and creativity improve from year to year.
As the organizer of the action, the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi will again this year, in cooperation with prominent representatives from the field of horticulture, donate a significant number of trees and seedlings for key city locations. Additional greening of the park in Bijela (in cooperation with the Bijela Municipality) is planned, as well as the revitalization and addition of the squares on the stretch from Igalo to Herceg Novi (in cooperation with the Igalo Municipality and the Herceg Novi Municipality).
The competition is open from April 24 to May 20, after which an expert jury will visit the participants and carefully evaluate the areas submitted.
Applications are open for three categories:
– The most beautiful garden / heritage
– The most beautiful balcony / terrace
– The most beautiful landscaping around residential buildings
The best, according to the evaluations of the expert jury, expect valuable prizes, as recognition for their contribution to a more pleasant environment and an even more beautiful image of the city.
