“LANGUAGE AS A GUARDIAN OF NATIONAL MEMORY” – TRIBUNE IN THE HOUSE OF NOBEL LAUREATE IVO ANDRIĆ

November 6- 7:00 pm

On Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the House of the Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, a panel entitled “Language as a guardian of national memory” will be held.

We invite you to attend the forum dedicated to language, memory and identity, where two distinguished interlocutors will speak: Mr. Dejan Miloradov, expert associate at the Department of Literature and Language of the Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, who will talk through the prism of scientific reflection about language as a living thread that connects generations and preserves collective memory, and Gojko Perović, a priest and parish priest in Podgorica, who will present the role of language in preserving tradition and faith from the perspective of spiritual and communal life and togetherness.

The forum explores questions such as: How does language carry the heritage of a community? How do expressions, words and narratives preserve the memory of the people? How can we actively embrace language as a guardian of our roots?

Welcome to the House of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andrić, a place that symbolizes the connection between art, language and community memory.
