PLAY "MIRANDOLINA"

On Thursday, October 16, at 8:00 p.m., in the Park Hall, the play “Mirandolina” will take place.

In the director’s reading of Tatjana Mandić Rigonat, the adaptation of the classic by Carl Goldoni and contemporary Austrian author Peter Turini – “Mirandolina”, comes to the stage, a story about a woman who knows what she wants and does not make compromises.

One of the most challenging heroines of dramatic literature is even more dangerous in this interpretation. And all this takes place in the Mediterranean, in the 18th and in our century.

This extraordinary play celebrates the independence, intelligence and rebelliousness of women, asking the question:

What is the fate of Mirandolina in a world ruled by money and greed?

Are freedom and independence just illusions?

And what happens when love collides with interest?

For Baudrillard, art is an act of seduction, and Mirandolina will show you exactly that: the story of herself, of a woman who plays her life in the theater, deconstructing narratives and defending her freedom above all else.
