THE TWELFTH JAZZ BAY FESTIVAL HERCEG NOVI
On August 29 and 30, Herceg Novi will host the 12th International Jazz Festival organized by the NGO “Jazz Bay”. The concerts are planned in the amphitheater of the “Park” hall, starting at 8:30 p.m., while from 10 p.m. a jam session will be held at Škver.
On the first evening, the audience from Herceg Novi will have the opportunity to hear the Spanish band “Tetra Pak” for the first time, consisting of Lola Santiago-vocals, Edu Cabello-saxophone, Ivan Ilić-guitar and Juan Pastor-double bass. This is one of the most interesting Spanish bands that have performed at many European jazz festivals. The organizers point out that these are artists of exceptional virtuosity who will present themselves with surprising arrangements.
On Saturday, August 30, the Belgrade band Alex B. & The Fergusons will perform, consisting of eminent members of the RTS Big Band jazz orchestra: Aleksandra Bijelić-vocals, Milan Pavković-double bass, Ivan Aleksejević-piano, Kristijan Mlaćak-tenor saxophone, Nemanja Banović-trumpet and Petar Radmilović-drums. The audience can expect a diverse repertoire carefully chosen to satisfy even the most refined musical taste.
After the concerts, during both festival evenings, a jam session will be organized in the cafe restaurant “Admiral” on Škver. The Montenegrin jazz quartet led by Milorad Šule Jovović and members: Sanja Raičković-vocals, Sara Jovović-keyboards and Martin Đorđević-drums will perform. It starts at 10 p.m.
In case of bad weather, the concerts will be held in the “Park” hall, and the jam session will be held in the “Amerika” cafe on Belavista.
Admission to all four concerts is free.
The festival is held with the support of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Ministry of Culture and Media, the Public Institution of Culture Herceg Fest and other festival partners.
