On Thursday, August 21, starting at 9:00 p.m., in the House of the Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, there will be a musical and stage performance “Jelena, žena koje nema”, based on the work of Ivo Andrić.
Ivo Andrić‘s short story was published in 1962 and tells the story of a writer who, like all great artists, plunges deeply into the spiritual, unreal world. It is precisely in today’s age of consumer civilization that this work and Andrić‘s spiritual Love experience their full relevance.
This time, Ivo Andrić, together with the authors of the play, Ivana Žigon (dramatization and direction) and Predrag Radisavljević (composition), convincingly oppose the materialistic approach to life, art and love, testifying that even unreal Love is far more real than prosaic and pragmatic reality.
Andrić‘s messengers: Goran Bjelanović and Tihomir Stanić
In the role of Jelena: Ivana Žigon
