Zoran Dukić, one of the best classical guitarists in the world, brings an evening of classical guitar on Wednesday, August 6, at 9 p.m., at Music Square in the Old Town, as part of the “Guitar Art Summer Fest 2025″.
Zoran Dukić (1969, Zagreb) has been a professor at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague since 1997. He studied with Darko Petrinjak in Zagreb and Hubert Keppel in Cologne. In his tour de force competitive years (1990–1997), he won a large number of competitions. He is the only guitarist who won both Andres Segovia competitions, in Granada and Palma de Mallorca, as well as competitions dedicated to F. Sor, M. Ponce, M. de Falja, F. Tarega… The aforementioned awards, in addition to the unique expressiveness and poetry he creates on the guitar, launched his world career, and Dukić is considered one of the most outstanding guitarists today. Dukić has performed in the most prestigious concert halls around the world, such as the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow.
He has recorded CDs and DVDs for publishers in Germany, Spain, Belgium, Brazil, England, Croatia and Canada. Zoran Dukić is also a very active performer of chamber music and a member of the European Guitar Quartet and the Croatian Guitar Quartet, as well as a duo with Anjelo Desiderio. Dukić has been a D’Addario artist since 2011.
