We are delighted to introduce one of the talented participants of the Operosa Summer Opera Academy – Greek tenor Eleftherios Kalpaktsidis.
In Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love), Eleftherios performs the role of Nemorino, the sincere and hopelessly-in-love young man who is willing to do anything to win Adina’s heart. With his warm voice, heartfelt expression, and natural stage presence, he brings tenderness, charm, and authenticity to one of opera’s most beloved characters.
Eleftherios Kalpaktsidis is a Greek lyric tenor and composer based in Germany. He holds an Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Classical Singing from the Ionian University and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Opera at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, supported by a scholarship from the Greek Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Greek National Opera. His operatic roles include Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) and Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), while his original compositions have been performed by orchestras and ensembles in Greece.
