For the occasion of its 90th anniversary, members of the Cultural and Artistic Society “Ilija Kišić” will hold a jubilee concert on Friday, June 19, at the fortress Kanli Kula. The performance begins at 20:30h.

It will be an opportunity to share with fellow citizens and guests the folkloric heritage they have preserved and passed on to younger generations for nine decades. When the need to form a folklore ensemble arose in the hinterland of Herceg Novi’s villages in 1936, it was originally called “Polet,” and later renamed KUD “Ilija Kišić” – Zelenika. From then until today, when the society counts around 200 members of various ages, they have lovingly nurtured traditional dance, song, and customs.
